In April, 1997 two pilots who worked for Operation Blessing charged that planes linked to Robertson and his ministry flew mostly to haul equipment for ADC's private diamond operation. "We got over there and we had 'Operation Blessing' painted on the tails of the airplanes," Hinkle told the Virginian-Pilot, "but we were doing no humanitarian relief at all. We were just supplying the miners and flying the dredges from Kinshasa out to Tdshikapa."

Operation Blessing was denied federal grant money in 1999 because its application forms ask the poor whether they are saved and expect to go to Heaven!

Robertson is the avowed enemy of feminists, pagans, gays, one-person-one-vote, Planned Parenthood, UFO researchers, polyamory... and let us not forget Hugo Chavez!

However, even though Robertson and his allies have enacted federal legislation that diverts a third of AIDS funding to "abstinence education" (a/k/a religious indoctrination), The ONE Campaign welcomed him as a celebrity spokesperson.
